Like it says in the title. Give a reason or two why. When I had kids around the house, I'd probably have chosen the 1701-D as a practical matter. Now, I think I'd pick the NX-01. Pivotal moments in Earth / Federation history. Technology should be a little closer to modern day (depending on the episode). CDR Tucker was one of my favorite characters, so I admit I wouldn't mind serving on his team. |

Whichever one doesn't get blown up every time there's a movie. NX-01: Fate uncertain 1701: Blowed up by Kirk 1701-A: Trashed, decommissioned 1701-B: Trashed, didn't get blowed up because of Kirk 1701-C: Blowed up by Klingons, thanks to Picard 1701-D: Not blowed up by Klingons, then crashed, thanks to Riker 1701-E: Trashed, career ended by Nemesis writers JJ1701: Trashed, trashed worse, then blowed up by killer bees. Yeah I'd go with the WWII Enterprise CV-6. The Star Trek versions usually get destroyed. |

CV-6. If I have to have one with warp drive, it has to be 1701. |

NCC-1701; no bloody A, B, C or D! |
Thresher01 | 10 Sep 2018 8:22 p.m. PST |
Hmmm, my general inclination is for the "D" model, since it just looks so nice. That said, the classic NCC-1701, with the Romulan cloaking device would be my next pick. AND, of course, I'd really rather captain a D-7, since they just look much cooler. |

NX-01 for me too, no messing around with Prime Directives! |
Parzival | 11 Sep 2018 3:39 p.m. PST |
In a military capacity? 1701. Kirk knows what he's doing, and he only blows up empty ships (or the enemy). Plus, he's got no problem with shooting first, if necessary. On a general exploratory cruise? 1701-D. Better cabins, holodeck, captain seems a bit more risk averse if you really prefer not to be fighting everyone you meet. Not the NX-01, though. Kinda pokey, bad armor, and the cute crew members are all spoken for (or outrank you). |

1701, but not as a redshirt. Blue shirt (Sciences), that's the ticket. Or Gold (Command), those guys tend to survive. |

NX-01. Vulcan and Orion females are hot. |
