I've been thinking about how to represent armoured siege engineers in 15mm for a wee while. Blue Moon make a nice pack of siege engineers, but unfortunately way too big for my Peter Pig armies. My train of thought/rationale is documented here: link Well, I've had a stab at a first conversion. head swapped, tassets added, and siege tool fitted (not so happy about this bit – best wire I had look a bit too thick, might have to replace it). Pics of the process and finished figure on the blog, only just based him so PVA is still wet. |

Interesting article on the engineers. I have also read about the soldiers feeling that digging was beneath them. I seem to remember them being paid an extra penny a day for digging in one campaign. |
