Hi all.

Does anyone know if I can use the same basing arrangements as Team Yankee as Sabre Squadron?

Cheers

Infantry units in Sabre Squadron are organised in teams and weapon groups so, for example, a British mechanised platoon would be:

1 FV432 carrying:
1 Rifle Group G with M72 & Image Intensifier
1 Weapon Group with Light Mortar & Image Intensifier

1 FV432 carrying:
1 RG with SAW, M72 and II
1 RG with Carl Gustav M2 and II

2 FV432 (Peak Turret) carrying:
1 RG with SAW, M72 and II
1 RG with Carl Gustav M2 and II

I can't give any insight on the TY basing other than noting that some of the TY infantry packs that I have bought are not organised as I would expect. Regardless of the rules you use, I would recommend the Sabre Squadron data books – Article 5 and 7 Days to the Rhine.

Thanks for the reply. I have a look. I just want to be able to play both games with with one set of miniatures.

Hi The Young Guard,

There's no specified basing so you can use models based for other rules without any difficulties, as I have done already.

Team Yankee seems to put the Soviet support weapons all onto a single large base, instead of each weapon and crew on an individual base.

Thanks for the feed back chaps! I'll have a look. I'm liking what I hear about sabre squadron
