My collection of Star Wars figures is in 54mm and I don't have much interest in switching to the smaller scale. But I'm very interested in finding a fun, well thought out set of rules for small skirmishes set in the Star Wars universe, and am especially attracted by what I read regarding the whole campaign system, with its missions and cooperative Rebel play against the Imperial "gamemaster". Have any of you tried this? For game boards I'd just try to shoehorn stuff I already have to reflect the game's components. Finally, in your opinion would it be easy to stat up some other races for non-Imperial villains? I'm thinking Sand People, Jawas, that sort of thing. I'd guess it would be pretty straightforward. Finally, Jabba is one of my favourite villains in the series. Do any of you own that expansion? Would it be worth picking up for missions/rules alone? Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated! |

I have just started the campaign. We had our first game last night and it was a hoot! I think the rules work well for small skirmishes. The scenarios require 'fidelity' to the gameboards provided in the game, though you could make up your own scenarios easily. Jawas are available, and I think sand people are as well. |

I own all of the sets and expansion for imperial assault. The game is fun and the quality of the figures is superb. There is an app that you can use to play the empire while you play solo as the rebels. Matthew |

Nick, all that is great to know. Best of luck with your future games! Matthew, thanks for the heads up on that app. If I go on to purchase the game I'll have to look into that! |
