Spithead have just released a range of Anglo Dutch warships in 1/2400, a scale smaller than their usual 1/1200 ships. These models have been specifically designed for large fleet action games like the "4 Days Battle" using "Generals at Sea" rules where whole divisions of ships can be moved on single bases instead of being fought individually. If you are interested in these models then please contact us at.

Very nice for 1/2400. Also should be more affordable than the Langton's for a large fleet battle.

Langton's models are twice as big and are superb examples of sculpting and although over four times the price they are good value for money as Rod Langton is the best ship caster out there. These models are more for the wargamer who wants to fight large battles and are easy and quick to paint up . They were made to suit "Generals at Sea" rules which take an interesting approach to sea gaming, instead of fighting ship on ship as normal you base several ships together and fight them like an infantry unit. A battle like "4 Days" would be possible as each squadron can be split down into divisions and subdivisions of 4 to 5 ships on a single base which makes firing easier. I urge you to look at this novel approach as it makes fighting large battles possible.
