I really like the excellent Fireteam Andromeda rules from Two Knights Publishing and want to try them out ASAP. After reading them I still cannot find answers to the following questions. Maybe somebody can help? Thanks in advance! :) 1. Do I have to spend an additional command point for activating an attachment if the parent unit has allready been activated? 2. Do all vehicles in a squadron have to fire at the same target or am I allowed to split fire (for example to fight enemy armor with one tank and infantry with the other)? 3. Do attachments have to stay in coherency with it's parent unit? (If an infantry weapon team has to follow my moving soldiers, it will not be able to fire much often)? 4. I have a field commander unit of 5 models. I do have all benefits from this command unit as long one model of the unit is alive (it's not like having one commander and 4 soldiers that escort him)? |

I would email Torben at Two Knights. I've always found him very helpful. |

Yeah, I will try again. I had contact to him quite recently, but he seems to be busy at the moment. It's just that I finished painting all I need and now I desperately want to play! Patience is not my thing, I guess. ;) Thanks for your answer. :) |

I received answers from Torben and I wanted to share them here, in case somebody else needs them too: 1 – Yes, that is the downside of attachments. There was a point when they could activate – in earlier versions – if they were within 2" of their parent unit, but that was a bit too convoluted and made some builds a bit too good. If you want to, you can reimplement this rule by having them activate after their parent unit, provided they started within 3". 2 – You are allowed to split fire from all vehicles in a vehicle squadron. 3 – No. The idea behind the Attachment rule was basically to circumvent players purchasing many small weapon teams or APC's to gain a lot of Command Points. They are a unit on their own, except that they do not grant you a Command Point. 4 – Yes! All models within the unit is considered to be a Commander for all intents and purposes. I highly recommend the rules, there's lots of unique stuff to discover! Unit construction is very easy and yet versatile. You can literally build whatever you want. |
