Yesterday we play tested the Cape Helles landings scenario from day one of the land-based Gallipoli campaign, April 25th 1915. There is an AAR with pictures and text here: link Robert |

How long did this game take to play? - Ix |

Playing time was around 2 hours max. Elapsed time was longer because we were working on refining the scenario. For example, as we looked at the naval gunfire support rules in Great War Spearhead, we wanted to align these with any historical information so it was back to some of the original sources. Likewise with the activation of the landings on 'X' Beach. It was helpful to read around what actually happened and why. Most of these background checks had been completed before we started this game but inevitably some things arose during the game itself. Robert |
