In the recent Reconnisance scenario thread I had to replace some LUCHS with pretend vehicels as I had run out! Psssss, if desparate I have used unpainted, but you can get into serious trouble on here for that! That being so I decided to draw up my own new LUCHS for 3D printing. So looking at the pictures, I could actually print a version with the wheels not straight.
Effectively a pose for AFV's. Whats your opinion on this? Me Iam a bit undecided; the pic looks to severe to me, but infantry can sometimes have very animated poses, personally I dislike them as they are representative of too short a period in combat. How about just a small change in angle, however then it might not be noticeable at 1/144 and cammoed up. |

Do the turrets on your current models rotate? |

It's a specialized pose of a Luchs turning sharply out of the woods. It represents too short a period in combat. The only place you could put it is at a T or L junction making a 90-degree turn. So no, I don't really care much for it myself. |

Not for a gaming piece, no. |

It's wacky and I like it. It would work best as one vehicle in a large force, an Easter Egg for visual interest. Not knowing all the details of the Local, is that a rear driver? I notice the propellers at that end. |

I like it. Would actually prefer those cute little Spz Kurz recon vehicles with the 20mm cannon. Of course, for the Luchs, I'd want left AND right facings for a few vehicles. Swimming models would be nice too. Seems to me it'd be useful for representing vehicles in the woods/brush, in towns hiding behind corners of buildings, etc.. Angling at 45 degrees or so, to increase the effective armor as much as possible with such light protection. Yes, that is a rear driver. Can move as fast to the rear as forwards. Bundeswehr Jagdpanzers had that capability too. Following "Oddball's" tactical mantra of wanting to be able to get out of trouble just as fast as one gets into it (from Kelly's Heroes – the movie). |

I'd actually be game for a vehicle with turning wheels like that. I do mean A vehicle, though, just one, in the midst of probably a dozen vehicles with wheels straight. Like emckinney said, it's an easter egg for visual interest. |

OK so the answer is the majority will have bizzare infantry poses. but not for vehicles. Certainly not worth the time and effort of drawing a faily tricky change (need to show behind the wheel detail) for the occtional vehicle. |
