I wonder if anyone can tell me how Battlefield/Blitz, Kelly's Heroes, and Early War Miniatures would fit together on the table. I am particularly interested in their early war ranges.

Thanks!

Battlefield and Kelly's Heroes work well together, don't forget FAA as well, the EWM figures aren't up to the same standards IMHO

I think they would all work well; I would not mix EWM with Kelly's Heroes on the same stands as they are a more slender design. If individually based, no issues at all.

IMO EWM are excellent figures. I'm working on their Italians now: nice detail and very easy to paint.

Thanks, for the advice, gentlemen.

Blacky750 -- I had looked at FAA as well but they seem to be out of stock of almost all of their French… I am hoping that will change

Joes Shop -- thanks for the thoughts on EWM and Kelly's Heroes. I will be basing the figures on 20mm square bases for Chain of Command so it should present a problem.

Thanks again. Up to this point I have used ABs almost exclusively but I am not holding my breath on the early war front from AB, and so your thoughts on these other ranges are very helpful.

Blitz has the best French, though for motorcyclists you'll have to turn to these:

And EWM for anti-aircraft and communications sets, of course.

For BEF, I'd suggest you also have a look at SHQ. Their Highland Division figures are excellent.

Thanks, Maha Bandula! I have been looking at the Blitz range and like them. But there are some key omissions, in particular, no V.B. launchers which I would need to get from EWM or FAA.

Doesn't EWM make motorcyclists as well? I am also curious about their separate head system as I would at some point like to do some dragon portes.

I just pre-ordered my TFL 1940 handbook for Chain of Command and am looking forward to getting a handle on the various organizations of units!

EWM would mix better with Blitz. Although a huge fan of FAA, their French are particularly chunky given that they used a different sculptor from the one responsible for the rest of their ranges.
