I'm not sure where to post this, so I chose here as it at least concerns Italy, and the link has some miniatures in it.

Some great vessels in that collection.

Nice work.

A big vote for the Naval Museum at the Arsenale. A huge number of models and other artefacts are on display as well as some preserved boats in an adjoining building.

There is a nearby cafe where one can sit and look across at San Giorgio Magiorre … and the drinks are nowhere near as expensive as they are in St Marks Square!

Very nicely written. I think you could be published in WWS if you wanted. Something to think about anyway.

Hi Sturmpioneer,

Thanks. I've written for several magazines in the past, but never for WWS; I did contribute photos to WWS for a Punic Wars article once. These days, I tend to contribute pics more than words: Time is the key pressure.

On the writing front, I'm supposed to be finishing Ager Sanguinis version 2 (rules for the Crusades) but can't even find the time to review the draft notes from my editor. I must do this!

Looking up my single WWS contribution in my 'scrapbook' – it's in issue 80, photos c. JLA Roach.

Whoops, that should be WSS, is WWS something different?
