Hello,

I know you're out there Thomas…

I have a question about Levy quality infantry in the Knights and Knaves game.

"Levy – represent masses of low quality troops armed with a variety of weapons. Due to their great mass they are much easier to beat than kill."

Having read through the rules what makes them harder to kill than any other HF or MF. I am just wondering if I am missing something.

I want to represent Middle Earth Orcs as poor quality troops. Weedy little goblins/orcs with low discipline, etc. (not PJ orcs)

I was thinking making them levy troops.

I also wanted to check something. If a Medium Foot gives up its Spears do Medium Mounted w/Lances now gain shock against it?

Thanks

Nothing specifically. They just come in great masses and get decent factors so you tend to Recoil them rather than kill (like most massed foot) – at least until you have them crushed.

Masses of Goblins can be Medium Foot Levy. Masses or Orcs Heavy Foot Levy.

Yes Medium Mounted Shock Medium & Light Foot UNLESS the Medium Foot have Spears (in which case they prevent "Medium' Shock and gain Drive Off v. Knights).
