My video of The Other Partizan held in Newark last Sunday is now available for all to view.

Head on over to link to take a look. It's about half and hour long, a bit wobbly in places (this was an experiment with a new 'steadicam' attachment to my camera) but does give a true "wargamer's eye" view of the show.

Enjoy!

Nice idea, Henry but I gave up after a few minutes. Too much "hosepiping" made me dizzy. I know it's groovy to have the steadycam device but I think a more disciplined use of it would make for a more comfortable view.

I look forward to further efforts as your skill with the device grows.

Great to see. Does your video editing software have a motion stabiliser? If so it would be worth experimenting with the parameters of its settings.

I appreciate this was an experiment for you Henry.

I had a quick peek at it on my kindle which encouraged me to move to a larger screen.

On the larger screen the picture looked a bit wobbly in transmission and I can't attribute that to your tiring arms/hands. It might have been my eyes or perhaps your camera settings.

It was good enough for me to recognise quite a few of my friends and associates amid the many faces present.

What I didn't like was the flying through effect of your progress through the busy showroom. I think that each table should have had a steady approach and closeups of relevant features without the gaps in between each table. I know that wasn't part of your plan and it would take an awful lot more planning and time to achieve success.

I hope that your efforts have proved worthwhile to yourself and I look forward to your next production.

I was there and I thought it a good run through. I saw I game (at 29,25 and thought it was a fine job in a few seconds.

Made me feel a bit queasy watching it on a desktop TBH.

Oh well, if you don't like the video, you can always just look at the couple of hundred still photos I took on the day at link and shortly, you'll be able to listen to the podcast interview of Harry Sidebottom I did there too.

Thanks for doing this Henry.

Thank you so much Henry
That was the best overall video of a show.
It was very much like mossing about the event with you.
Thanks again

Nice idea Henry.

Unfortunately the Panning was way, way too fast. I only lasted 2 minutes before it started to make me feel as sick as the proverbial Parrot.

Thanks for the "stills" though, looks like there were some really nice games on show!

Henry, what was the steady cam attachment you used?
