I can't find anything much that describes their clothing. I guess you can't go too far wrong by painting them in the ubiquitous hodden grey? |

A good question. I have 6 of them that are next on my to paint list after these 12 Perry Trotters. I tend to go to figure manufacturer sites and just look at their photo's for painting color choices. I am no purest… |

I think hodden grey uniforms and blue bonnets is pretty much fine |

Kircudbright's wore buff coats. As for the rest? The fact that coat colours aren't mentioned might suggest that they were the normal hodden grey. I would expect commentary to mention the out of the ordinary, hence we know K's wore buff coats. Definitive text on this is: Edward M. Apologies, not sure if those are 'buff' coats or woollen coats that are buff coloured. I'd guess the former |

Probably leather buff coats when they converted to dragoons from foot and joined the Western association. I don't think it's clear whether these buff coats were a 'one off' or whether it was an expected thing for Scots dragoons. Means you can be happy painting them with or without I think. |
