Hi all!
(especially older guys with hand arthritis like me)

Has anyone found a good source for grips that will fit on paint brushes?

I've tried pencil grips, but a little loose
(have wrapped the brush with tape first and it helps)

Or a good line of brushes with larger grips?

Thanks!
Chris the Tall

Foam tape from an office store, or moleskin from the foot ache aisle. Cut it in thin strips and wrap it diagonally.

There is one brand that has a cushioned grip. Don't know the name offhand.

Electrician's tape? There is a rough and slightly sticky type that would work well, I think.

Thanks, guys!

I'll give them a try,
see which combo works the best

I switched to the triangular handled brushes. No grip but the shape and handle being larger have helped quite a bit.

Search Ebay for Paint Brushes under art supplies. Several good options if you page down, from the triangular ones I use, to rubber padded, to larger diameter.

thanks!

You could try rolling up a ball of play dough and sticking the handle through it. You can make it as large as you need and it'll conform to your fingers. If that works then you can repeat the process with super sculpey so you can bake it without flaking or shrinkage.

Chris, does a soft grip make the arthritic hands feel better?
