Hello all, we seem to miss out on things that look really neat, like Hobgoblin Ales, Fritz sauce, 2mm MDF. Has anyone found any in Aus? I have a mate with a hungry laser cutter. any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Chris. |

'Mr Plywood' used to sell a precision MDF board for laser cutting but a quick look now does not show any sign of it. Generic thin MDF was also used a lot as backing in cheap furniture, but that all seems to be imported now, just about all the suppliers who bother with an Internet presence don't list anything under 3mm. Your friend may have to start contacting kitchen cabinet makers and suppliers of shop fitouts, they may have a 'trade only' supplier who does not bother with the 'Net. If cost is not an issue, try 'Aircraft ply' – it is available down to .4mm (!!) |

I'm in the States and I had to order my 2mm MDF from England. Unless I wanted 1000 sheets of the stuff! Pitiful! |

Olympian games in Canberra uses sheet bamboo I think, easier to get and doesn't warp with moisture |
