"Ahead of its premiere at Toronto Film Festival next month, Netflix has released trailer for OUTLAW KING which, out November 9th, sees Chris Pine playing Robert the Bruce who transforms from defeated nobleman to outlaw hero during the oppressive occupation of medieval Scotland by Edward I of England. Despite grave consequences, Robert seizes the Scottish crown and rallies an impassioned group of men to fight back against the mighty army of the tyrannical King and his volatile son, the Prince of Wales. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Florence Pugh and Billy Howle also star." From Hollywood Spy YouTube link Amicalement Armand

Not sure what to expect, but won't be worse than Braveheart. |

Have a little faith in Harveywood. Sure it can! |

From the trailer the armor looks more correct (and no kilts) however we still get flaming arrows, and that nice looking armor doesn't seem to have any protective effect at all. |

I've now studied the trailer more. And it looks to be far better than what we've seen before (hell they have gambesons) Coat of plates, padding under the mail etc. |

It does look good but lanceless / Caparisonless cavalry in the Charge (Battle of Loudoun Hill ?*) at…1min 38 secs ?? A couple of C.o.Aīs recognisable Beauchamp (Gules, a fesse between six cross crosslets or) to the far right mounted on the black nag. Albret, far left (Gules) but that may be just a case of "letīs paint a shield red" Percy (Or, a lion rampant azure) 1min 34 – Middle of Screen Wether any of them were there at the battle…if it is supposed to be Loudoun Hill ..?? but would Aymer de Valence (acted by Sam Spruell in the film and seen riding along the line at 1.18) wear the kings C.o.A in favour of his own? In the same shot it appears as if the film is in mirror Image….shield on the right arm, lions facing to the right??

IMHO, the film was not worth the time spent making it. The battle at the end was ok..but apart from that, not a lot. TBH, Braveheart is more entertaining |
