Artificial intelligence and autonomous systems will disrupt the traditional calculation of military power. To adapt, the United States must stay nimble and ramp up investments in learning, research, and development… link |

Until someone sells it to the enemy and power evens out to mutual destruction. And that is assuming we last that long anymore. Sorry. I will go have my coffee and be happier later. |

Yes, the US must do this, so we can keep our military-industrial complex in the black. |

"Yes, the US must do this, so we can keep our military-industrial complex in the black." The US must do it for the same reason the US must do any military advance, if the US doesn't, others will. Whoever has the best killer robots wins. Of course we may all lose in the long run but that has been predicted in the past and not come to pass. |

Does anyone remember nuclear weapons? Guess what, they still exist by the thousands, able to destroy the world many times over. The US had a slight advantage for a very short time, then the technology was given to our enemies by treasonous spies. Nothing different here. Technology is always advancing and it is important to stay on top of it. Ten thousand years of civilization and almost continuous war with brief flashes of peace and human progress in science and art. The world has always been on the brink of destruction. Have a nice day. |

"Mr. President, we must not allow a mine shaft gap!" -General Buck Turgidson I think that sums up the original argument. |

I've always said, American CEOs will sell the bullets to the enemy for their own executions, and that of their friends, families, and countrymen, if there's a short-term profit to be made from it. Gotta make those quarterly numbers, in order to get those bonuses, somehow. Stay focused…….. |
