I'm building a German reconnaissance group in 20mm. I've sorted out the uniforms of armored cars crews, (black panzer uniforms, yellow trim), and now I'm moving on to halftracks and infantry elements. would they have worn the panzer uniform as well? Maybe the gray version? Or could they wear standard uniforms.

I misread your post -- I thought you were looking for recon uniforms. link Anyway, Heer tunics would be the order of the day for a halftrack in a grunt unit. |

I think that like many German units some may have latched onto panzer black but by mid-war were supposed to be in feldgrau |

The soldiers in halftrack Hanomags, or much more often in trucks, are motorized infantry (Panzergrenadiere). De black uniform was only worn by the tankers. |
