We played this a number of times with both sides experiencing narrow victories. This report is the best of the series.

A fun report.

As with so many Dark Age armies I get confused which side is which when reading the text.

Louie N,

The confusion does add a certain level of realism to the game. ; ).

In this series, the Abbasid were the only army to claim some form of uniformity among their troops; black robes and/or turbans. In time, many of the armies portrayed in the series became indistinguishable from their opponents.

The last battle in this series will set the Vikings against the Breton of Bretagne. In this battle there should be no confusion possible; mounted vs. foot.
