I picked the size of figures that I truly love: 25/28 mm, from the start. Sometimes I wonder if I should have gone with 15mm due to storage issues. But nah…..I love the 28's.

I would disagree with Winston Smith. Spend the $$ on the best paints, best brushes and best brush cleaners. Craft paints are for terrain. I would have done that from the start and saved a bit of frustration.

But I'll totally agree with Cacique. Try to limit your wargamer ADD to a few projects that interest you the most. But until you buy and get started on all those projects, it's hard to determine which one's will stick with you.

Basically, you have to make some mistakes to learn the lessons. Therefore, I can't really regret anything I've done.

Stuck to the ww2 in 6mm and napoleonics in 15mm rule….

slippery slope was 15mm ww2 then western in 15mm..which led to 15mm russian civil war which bled into ww1 then jumped to ecw in 28…and 28 AWI…which was broken midstream by 15mm samurai.

Then 15mm ancients popped up.

and 1/1200 scale ww2 ships which led to 1/600 scale aircraft despite the large 1/300 scale aircraft.

So the obvious thing to consider next was 12mm Spanish civil war.

So , its just one little thing I would change and I would just do i all again in a different order!
