Yeah … wool in the jungle !??!? No ! But I've seen many pics with various scarfs the GIs use there. E.g. Cravats from the Medics, green towels, etc. They would be quite useful as you sweat a lot in tropical environment, i.e. the jungle.

I know when in the 101 we deployed to Panama the CZ 3 times in the early '80s. We sweat our Bleeped texts off ! frown

What's with the heavy stitching on his uniform? And the material doesn't resemble ripstop cloth at all. A real shame as it is a very good model.

Characters from the film platoon.

The scale makes it very difficult to avoid oversize stitching.

Given these are only 15cm high, they did well. Don't compare them to 12" Dragon 1/6th scale figures.

The scarf might represent an OD towel?

Ripstop material was a later innovation, IIRC.
