….All Trade With Canada

"Ottawa is 'seeking greater clarity' on statements from Riyadh, Chrystia Freeland's spokesperson says

Saudi Arabia said on Sunday that it is ordering Canada's ambassador to leave the country and freezing all new trade and investment transactions with Canada in a spat over human rights.

"We consider the Canadian ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia persona non grata and order him to leave within the next 24 hours," Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry said on Twitter…."

Well it sounds like Saudi was not much interested in being lectured to, and just gave Canada the middle finger.

It was to be expected. Tyrannies don't like to be reminded what they really are.

For Saudi Arabia, mere words expressing concern and stating a desired outcome constitute "an attack" and "interfering in the internal affairs of the Kingdom".

The Saudis are obviously terrified of Canada. That's hilarious.

The social mores of the Saudis make the Iranians look western and progressive.

No more maple syrup for oil…….

Why would the Canadians want to buy/barter for oil? They are #3 worldwide for proven reserves.

Of course, most of it is shale, but that's not as big a fracking problem as it once was.

Actually, when you get past the hype on this you discover that the person is question, Samar Badawi, is connected to the terrorist group the muslim brotherhood. So the canadians with their virtue signaling stepped in it. They have managed to have large grain order to the KSA cancelled as well as have any oil purchases cancelled. Not a good move for a country whose economy is already having problems.

The problem in a nutshell. Federal election coming in 2019. Maybe things will change, but I doubt it. Canada is America without the Electoral College and the 2nd Amendment. God Bless America!

A nice diversion for the Saudis. Better than the usual coverage of their now three year war against Yemen, though they did score an impressive victory over a school bus full of children!
