Looking to do a Little Bighorn game in 10mm or 15mm scale, covering the entire battle. Could anyone suggest a suitable set of rules to do a game this size? I'm aware of some skirmish-level systems for Plains War, but nothing for an engagement where a base of miniatures represents a squad or more of men. I am absolutely looking for something designed specifically for the period and not "Black Powder," or one of those "this game covers the entire age of firearms" rule sets. Would appreciate any insight!

Rules for Little Bighorn? "Don't engage the enemy with half your column".

Also- Pete Panzeri has a rule set for that, don't remember the name, but they were fun.

As an aside, I just switched my search engine to "duckduckgo"
very fast, and no "leaning"

Aren't Pete's rules called Crazy Horse or something similar? I remember seeing them run at Historicon years ago.

I once heard of Pete's "Crazy Horse" rules--thanks for reminding me of them--but was never able to find much info about them anywhere?

A second for Battles for Empire II

There is a Plains Wars variant on the Yahoo Group as well as a scenario for the Battle of the Rosebud

Do consider "Western" from Peter Pig. they are designed for historical western battles. The PP site has details of how the rules work plus links to videos. LBH must be one of the most followed battles i history just after WATERLOO?

A third for Battles for Empire 2nd Ed. We played the whole battle in an afternoon. Custer survived, but Reno got his head handed to him. Interestingly, no one dismounted their units and we spent the entire game in mounted melee combat.
