Our gaming dollars are being stretched further than ever. We have so many choices nowadays. It's mind boggling. Looking at my gaming expenses over the next month or so, I need to win the lottery. Upcoming possible expenses -Reaper Bones 4, Need to finalize Pledge -Dwarven Forge 6 KS -GW Kill Team -LOTR New Rules and box set, release in Sept -Oathmark figures -Fire Forge Kickstarter in Aug or Sept -Start a small Blood and Plunder warband( I have the ships already from Frostgrave. Failing to win the lottery, maybe start charging the kids rent?

Agreed. Every week (day), I swear to never buy another figure but find myself hitting the "buy now" button and supporting a new kickstarter. I just hauled out, cleaned and primed some Napoleonic figures I purchased in 1990. Maybe I should get back to painting instead of reading TMP! |

The amount of gaming items that are available through secondary markets (Ebay, Facebook Wargamers Marketplace, etc.) is staggering at the moment. Many of these items have never been used, leading me to believe that gamers are buying everything under the sun, then either realizing that they'll never get to it or something else new and shiny attracts their attention. |

I had a very similar conversation today over dinner with my gaming mate and his wife (who also occasionally games). We agreed, if you haven't used it in 5 years, get rid of it. Once I have my new house and my possessions come out of storage, there will be a major downsizing. The brakes are already on, on my new purchases. If I'm not playing that game/genre. NO. No matter how shiny it is |
