I thought this one was a winner when it came out too. It used the X band radar which is Doppler. The Sgt York used the Doppler system too. I think one of the issues was tracking helicopters whose blades are going and coming at the same time screwing up the doppler time pulse. The ADATS was supposed to attack ground and air targets and couldn't do either to the military satisfaction. I remember the FOG-M and Hyper Velocity missile were in development at the same time but never made it. Wolfhag |

The Sergeant York used the F16's radar straight off the shelf, which wasn't designed to be that close to the ground. |
