Thanks All :-) @Richard. Lovely word Play mate..I wish I´d thought of that :-) @YBM. 35mm Diameter. Not Chosen for any rule set* but the Diameter of the die cutter ( link ) I use for creating the circles fits the average length of the base of a horse at full gallop, one front leg and one back leg touching the base Ends. I first started painting medievals as a break from ancient Romans and it was convienient to just bash out a few circular bases as I only intended to paint a few and not for any specific wargame rule set. *those based on square bases are based for specific rules. |

How many medieval foot figures do you have? I´ve never counted them, but a lot. Some sets, Burgundians/scottish wars scotts for example are at a Ratio of 8 or 10 foot to one mounted, others like the Normans or Crusaders, a bit less. The foot fill way more storage space than the mounted. I´ll eventually get around to doing a complete Audit. |
