Hi all, quick question for all you fonts of knowledge. I am doing Schlippenbachs dragoons for early end of the Great Northern War. I had them pegged as blue faced blue, blue saddle cloth piped light blue and white hat lace, but I can find the source and I have 2 sources for blue faced yellow in the later campaigns. Anyone help? |

Höglund shows the Livländsk dragon squadron commanded by A. J. Schlippenbach 1701 as: NCOs and obosit with hat with silver lace, blue cloak with silver lace and orange lining. Blue coat with silver lace, pewter buttons, orange lining and cuffs and orange lining. Other ranks with blue karpus with orange lining, blue coat with orange lining, orange breeches. In 1708 a hat with braid, blue coat, leather vest and breeches. |
