Who currently produces 28mm desert war British? Infantry, command figures, weapons teams etc. Battle Honors used to have some closer to 25mm? Are they still around? My Google fu is weak & my office network is blocking my searches. Recommdations & reviews of figures welcome.

Perry Brothers make a fine box set of plastic British 8th Army minis. They also make a variety of other metal minis for the 8th.

Warlord just announced today they are coming out with British 8th Army and Afrika Korps, in plastic, early 09/2018. Other than that Perry does plastic and metal, they are a little on the smaller side of 28mm, and of course Artizan Designs would be your next best option….In my opinion.

I've used Artizan and find their 8th Army and Afrika Korps figures to be superb.

I have the Perry box set which is excellent. Artizan metals are more heroically proportioned but will work with the Perrys.

Artizan does not have desert AT guns though, you'll have to go Perry for that. Rubicon has a Crusader which is an excellent model, a truck and a LRDG jeep. Rubicon is doing AT guns and crew but havn't gotten to the 8th army yet.

Al at Askari Miniatures is expanding his line into the Western Desert with British/Commonwealth, German, Italian, and Free French figures. I have a number of his 19th Century colonial figures and can highly recommend them.

@Johnbear … so the Warlord plastics are "new"? I was wondering when I got an email from them today about the coming figures if they had just reboxed the Perry figures.

I was very likely going to plunge further into my "early war" gathering of forces and get some DAK and 8th Army forces, and had pretty much decided to go with Perry since nobody else had plastics. And then I got the email about Warlord and their own plastic figures.

So if they are really "new" I must now hold off until they get released, and somebody does an unboxing.
