For throwback Thursday, I thought I'd post some old figures I had done up ages ago for Empire.

First are some French High Command vignettes from Old Glory – teaser here:

With several others here: link

Second are some Wurttembergers for an 1812 Grand Armee. These include infantry and artillery – a teaser here:

And the full entry here: link

Thanks for looking!

Good work!
Very nice pink facings and belts on the knapsack.

They are great.

You do not do yourself justice. That "cart" is an ambulance and is usually shown as an ochre yellow, not Artillery Green. You have it right. You have a "nurse" driving it in the brown coat, with red facings.

How good is that Garde Chasseur a Cheval en habit? Just finished mine today…in 28mm………. and they are not as good as yours. Minor Quibble. A brass sabre scabbard needed and no lace edging in aurore on the cuffs for the habit dress.

They are rarely shown in this rig. Obviously everyone does them in the Dolman, many will add the pelisse on the shoulder, some will show them wearing the pelisse (rarely). Much conversion work went into my mounted unit. Must photograph them now

Thanks D! Ya – the ambulance makes sense – not sure where I got my guidance on that – an Osprey is my guess.

I have been back once more.

The detail is incredible.

I never attempt eyes even in 28mm. I just use shading. Any time I did, the result was homicidal maniacs.

You even managed the reflection off the telescope lens?

In 15/18mm scale?????????

If I had any criticism it would be the XX chromosome duo "serving" the senior occifer's every need. Not exactly a handsome pair……….

Oh and BTW, the ambulance is EXACTLY the colour we all try to achieve (never mind the evidence, that is what we imagine. Perfect). All you need now is to create the script on the roof in white (Good luck. Hint, use a photoprinter and stick on. White on black)
