Someone uploaded the TV series with english subtitles to YouTube.

The TV series contains about a hour's worth of extra footage compared to the film.

Don't know if it's bloody good … yet. But even from the start, it is interesting.

Has a very authentic feel to it. The mix of individuals, the griping, belly aching, lamenting about girls left behind, prayers mixed with profanities, the mother who puts a burden on the older son to watch out for his younger brother, being issued boots that don't fit, no one ever knows where they are going, other than going where they are told to go, all the effort the officer puts into getting a field kitchen for his troops, etc. etc. Not much glossing over of the daily life of a soldier going on.

Interesting…

Watched the whole thing tonight.

Recommended. Realistic looking battle scenes, lots of action, lots of characters. By the end you'll know the name of everyone in the platoon.

My only negative was I thought it got a little repetitive in the last two episodes – maybe because I watched it all at one go…

Thanks for posting this Lonkka!
