There's a 28mm horse & musket game on the main table. Rules vary, but have to be simple and individual casting removal. There's a Star Wars skirmish game on the back-up table. Running through various options. Thinking of Trying Astounding Tales this weekend. As soon as I'm happy with that one, the table gets reconfigured for 5/6mm horse & musket.

What is this thing you call a "group?"

dBerczerk20 Jul 2018 5:46 p.m. PST

Also just tried Victory Without Quarter by Quindia Studios for the first time. A fun set of rules that aren't mentally draining.

Working up a scenario for a 25mm Boxer Rebellion game. Beginning a project with my close friend on the Sino-French War (Tonkin Campaign, 1883-1887). My personal tastes have gone over to almost exclusively Colonial games: 15mm Egypt and The Sudan from 1882 – 1899; Anglo-Zulu War; North West Frontier; 25mm Boxer Rebellion. I recently set up a solo 15mm Russo-Turkish War (1877) game but just couldn't get into the rule set I was trying. Also have large 15mm fleets for My Galley Sally and 4 15mm armies for the Baltic Crusades. Oh, and 6 15mm DBA armies for the Biblical era. And 25mm Napoleonics. And a 54mm Alamo collection that I'm trying to get rid of. Friends I Game with have current day US and Allies vs. assorted bad guys; the Falklands War; WWII; SYW; FPW; WSS; Indian Mutiny; Maximilian's Mexican adventure.

Tanks, using 15mm minis, has been popular for us. We have played an entire cooperative campaign I created. I have also run Command Decision using micro armor, but it hasn't generated as much interest as I had hoped it might. What a Tanker is the next game I plan to feature, in 15mm.

Personal logo etotheipi Sponsoring Member of TMP22 Jul 2018 4:15 a.m. PST

Now this would make a good poll.

I think this is two or three polls:

- What genre games are you playing?
- What rules are you playing?

and maybe

- What scale are you playing?

These are great questions for the "Poll of the Month" idea … one poll for each month that repeats each year, capturing trends over time.
