Give the lack of English language history books on this war. Are there any good fiction (dealing with the battles)? I know of Alatriste but that's it. |

The PC police will yell at you, but, G.A. Henty wrote several rollicking good reads about the TYW, including: The Lion of the North (A tale of the times of Gustavus Adolphus) and Won By The Sword (A story of the TYW). Most are available for free download from Project Gutenberg. |
