Hi, Anyone having an idea where to find us Willy's jeeps used during the vietnam war? Scale 15mm (1/100) Thank you, Bert |

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but Old Glory has 15mm trucks and jeeps in their post WWII Command Decision range… link Chalfant |

You also might look for M151 quarter ton 4x4 truck. They were the successor to the Willy's era M38 family. The M151 was used a lot in Vietnam. |

Yes, the M151 was the "jeep" at that time and was still called that by most. But "officially" designated the MUTT. And was used for sometimes afterward. Until replaced by the HMMWV @ mid-80s, IIRC. But in some places, some of the old WWII era versions of Jeeps were still around, e.g. SE Asia … Like shown here … link And made in Japan …

Thanks everybody for the replies! Vehicles from Skytrex seems perfect! I wasn't aware these jeeps were different from those of ww2! But thanks a lot for the info. |

Yea Old Glory's 15mm 'Nam vehicles look great and generally sold in sets of 3's. They have variations of the MUTT, however the one that gets me, is the one listed as "Mutt jeep with 60MM". Not an M60 but 60MM. Ive never heard of a '60mm' vehicle mounted weapon (except of course the mortar carriers). |

Yes, I too never heard of a Jeep, HMMWV, etc. mounting a mortar. But M125, M106, etc. Mortar Carriers do. An M60 MG on a MUTT, etc. … very much so … Even if not on a mount in the center of the "Jeep". You can easily, sitting in the front passenger seat, lower the windshield, pop out the MG's bipod and just lay it down across the hood, resting on the bipod. |
