Hey guys!

My family has been obsessed with the Turkish show Ertugrul recently ( think Turkish Game of Thrones ) and I've decided to make a chess set with painted Seljuk and Crusader miniatures. I've been looking around and have found quite a bit of models – deciding on which to use for each piece has proven difficult though, especially Turkish Bishop pieces which I imagine could just be a Imam or something.

Anyone have any cool links to things that might make sweet chess pieces?

So far I was thinking,

Pawns are basic infantry
Knights are mounted infantry
Castle's are mini 6mm dioramas that fit the them of each side ( Turkish/Arabic castle and a Crusader castle )
Bishops are Priests for Crusaders and Imams for the Turks
King is another mounted figure, was thinking of just using Saladin ( link ) for the Turks
Queen is the only female figure on each side.

I found these models, they'd make PERFECT Bishops I think;

No idea where they're from though.

I thought the one on the left was Gripping Beast, but I can't find it.
Here are some others from Gripping Beast.

It is a Gripping Beast figure on the left.

I would not follow the modern convention of denoting the most powerful piece 'The Queen', and using a female figure.

Surely the 'Queen' should be a battlefield/strategic commander like Saladin or Richard Lionheart?

Not sure what I understand what you mean @arthur1815 , the "Queen" piece seems to be have been around even before the 15th century? Unless I'm mistaken.
