That is quite interesting. I guess it reflects reasonably closely what I have seen on gaming tables and in magazines over the years. I wonder how the results would look if it only took it account gamers not from the Anglosphere.

Re Dark Age, I am a bit surprised so few Byzantine and Arab enthusiasts.

Only 50% listed for the Dark ages. I image a lot of Byzanties and Arabs, along with horse and foot Germans with a few Huns in the missing 50%

You can click on the link to see TMP link Overall the Byzantines come to 15%, but subdivided into four periods within the Dark Ages.

Kind of an awkward poll; I own somewhere more than 40 painted armies, but tend to default to Romans (Republican or Cesarean) and Germans or Gauls when introducing the game.

Have enough painted old Ral Partha 25mm Byzantines, but have not hauled them out in ten years; No interest locally.
