To help new players like myself remember which leader corresponds to which activation card/chip I have created some sabot bases for my leaders, so that at a glance you can see who is activated and their initiative level. Very nice – I do something similar but use a micro-dice for initiative level so it can be changed during the game as required (also means I only need one base with each number) |

I would have used the rocks themselves as the numeric indicator, and if your stands are steel washers w/o much tufting as shown, there's plenty of room to attach these directly to the figure bases with rare earth magnets. |
