Hello, I am working on a force for Sharpe Practice and would like to create mini-dioramas for my Deployment Points. Does anyone have any recommendations for models that would be suitable for camp dioramas from the AWI? |

I really like that Perry vignette and in fact, I'm going to order a couple of sets right now. |

Middle guy: "You know, back in the French War, we had a lot more discipline in the camp! And we liked it too! Made for good soldiering!" |

No John. He's saying "I'm thinking of opening a store that sells good coffee like this. Maybe call it Star…… something." |

I recommend the Perry set too. I used some of that set in an SP deployment point link |

Women serving men etc. soon be scrutinized by various newly minted saints, ready to correct deviants. These figs makes me regret not doing 28mm, but for the $ and space. |

A wise man once said, You need to use that set for Continentals or Rebel Militia, as the womenfolk are doing the two things they were definitely NOT allowed to do in the British (and probably also Loyalist) service – cut hair and cook the main meals. The former was usually the remit of the pioneers (unless there were former barbers in the ranks, although these might have been commandeered as servants by the officers first). The latter was restricted to the men to ensure that all of the food was cooked and none was squirrelled away, and to avoid favouritism in how much food each man was given. Women generally did the laundry and tended the sick/wounded, and might – if considered attractive enough – earn their partner a position as an officer's servant in return for "services" (eg on his return from captivity, Charles Lee kept the Washingtons awake all night by cavorting with a sergeant's wife). |
