Stopping into Denver and wondering if anyone can recommend a good game/hobby shop there with a variety of historical miniatures…

Thanks.

Others can speak for gaming stores. We have kinda loss all the really good one over the years.

If I were visiting Denver the one stop I would make is to Aberdeen books on Federal Blvd in the South West.

Hands down the best military books store I have ever been to.

Two stories – both new and used – East Front room (yes room not section). – full 6 foot shelf on uniforms – 8 by 10 shelves of used American Civil War.

Plan on a couple of hours.

Is the one out in Greeley still open. I use to go all the time back in the day…was about 30-40 min drive from Denver.

Thanks.

Total Escape in Broomfeild

Or taking a trip to Colorado Springs

There are several, but most are RPG/Magic related

Agree, there are no longer any game stores that have a good selection of Historical miniatures. Total Escape, as mentioned, has some but its pretty much limited to Warlord Games Bolt Action, and Battleground Flames of War.

Digital Dungeon in Greeley, used to have the oddest selection of new and old miniatures but its going to mostly have 40K. Its been at least 10 years since I was last there.

Gamers Haven in Colorado Springs has the best selection of historical miniatures now, at least in my opinion, an even then its not going to blow you your socks off. There is another one in CO Springs called Yellow King Games, but I have never been there and have no idea what they stock.

If you are looking for Board Games then Wizard's Chest is the best place to go now.

If you want to visit the Aberdeen Bookstore, which I also recommend, check their website first. They have the oddest hours of any store I have ever been to. Their odd hours have probably saved my hundreds of dollars inadvertently.

I was to Yellow king about 2 years ago.

I didn't find any historical figures and the stock of miniatures was very limited,

The owner was very nice to me. We talked for awhile and he asked what games I was into. I told him mainly historical and he said I looked like a historical gamer. I guess we do have a type.

Same same on Aberdeen. Their hours a little strange. The owner does a ton of on-line business.
