I've seen a few pics on FB but no reports as yet. Would love to read some.

The express check-in for the convention worked very well for me. I was very impressed.

I was there.

Oh, like a _detailed_ report?

I was there Thursday night, and Friday, so far. Will be doing a third daytrip Saturday.

The epic after this is all over.

At Historicon today I ran a what-if scenario called Reata Hill, set in German East Africa, using Men Under Fire modified for WW1. Allies were attacking Askaris, mostly with Indian troops. Six players (minus one youth who left for another already-scheduled commitment) took part, and three of them had actually gotten tickets at the Events desk!

James, Beth, Robert. Carl and JT stayed and played enthusiastically. Everyone seemed to be having fun.

With a few tweaks for balance, I'm willing to run the game again tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon if there is space and interest. In the morning, I will have it listed under new games at the Events desk.

If interested, send me a text to 505-459-0855. I won't have access to this forum to see any responses.

Things seem to be going well. Lots of people, business is brisk in the dealer's room. Some cool games being run. And the air conditioning works! Too well, really, kind of cold in some of the rooms

Since I'mm not staying the Host, I can't comment on the rooms. Sure the entrances feel like you are entering I construction site, but you are. Food service are still a work in progress, nothing available outside the distlefink, and the main dining room still closed.
The registration process worked well, the dealer area has a new and brighter feel to it.
Attendance seems up and most people seem to be enjoying themselves.
I'm glad that I came and might miss the annual July pilgrimage to the Host although I look forward to the new venue for next year.

Crowded. AC working well in main game room. Some very good looking games. Onto dealers next.
