Can someone confirm to me my understanding regarding the colour of Italian ammunition pouches, halter straps and belts? Did the metropolitan troops in North Africa (even those in desert khaki uniforms) wear grey-green equipment? I think some/all of the Libyan troops may have worn natural brown leather, and certainly at least some officers wore brown leather belts. I have seen many Italian figures painted with brown, but most of my sources suggest grey-green. Thanks. |
