Set historically in 650 AD England, a different world inhabited with the most terrible mythical creatures. Darklands is an established rules system and has a very devoted following and amazing support. 11 Kindreds, around 900 miniatures make up this skirmish game. Everything from dragon men to roman war engines. 14 Successful Kickstarters and the most fervent fans.. make this an amazing community to work with.

And did I mention the most detailed 32mm miniatures sculpted by the most followed names in the business. Don't take my word for it….

I like some of the figs a lot but some are just plain weird. I guess I don't get the world setting. Weird World War Dark Age?

I had a mixed reaction to their stuff. Some of their larger monsters and other creature models are very cool.

But the prices are also shocking, particularly for the units of smaller models.

Their prices for like five and ten man units certainly give GW a run for their money as far as cost per mini. in some instances.

I have a few of their human sized minis and they are lovely. I only have them because they did a half price sale on surplus metal miniatures, though, because the prices are ridiculous.

The game has never interested me but some of the big models are fantastic so if I ever win the lotto…
