All, The last batrep, DEI #8, showed a group of Marines crossing a river to flank a Japanese machine gun, and running into some unexpected trouble. Here are the next three fights: the base of fire team engages the enemy machine gun and the Japanese attempt to flank them, the assault element attacks the machine gun position, and, lastly, the rear guard attempts to hold up pursuing Japanese units so the wounded can be evacuated over the bridge.
Here the Marines fire on Japanese attempting to cross the river and flank them. To see how the fights went, please check the three blog postings: link link link As always, if you've got comments or questions, please post them on the blog as Jack CANNOT answer here on TMP. Hope you enjoy the fights. |

Looks like a nice game. I have a few Nordic Weasel games, but have yet to purchase 5MaK. The early war Pacific setting is my favorite for the Pacific. Brodie helmets and khaki uniforms against the Japanese on the offensive. I've long wanted to game this period and have done so to a limited extent in 20mm, but I like the Philippines campaign, but the Dutch East Indies is also cool. Actual airborne attacks against airfield and oil wells. Maybe I'll try again since Eureka make all the infantry in 15mm – US and Filipino especially. I did struggle to find the right US M-3 lt tank though. I need the one with MG sponsons. You're write up is good. Nice terrain also. |
