Hello had a question regarding the benefits for CnC in TSATF. I understand if your CnC is killed you roll every turn on the Major Morale chart. Is their any benefits for CnC's besides assisting units to move in a turn if they are leaderless?

Thanks

He can boss the other players around, if they are inclined to listen to him.

Seriously, the C-in-C assigns the cards as they are drawn. The way we play it, he can give the card to the commander of the 2nd Brigade, but is forbidden to tell him who to move or what to do.
That's why we always make a brand new player the British C-in-C.
He can also play the "It's all about me" game and favor himself on the card draw.

One thing to beware of is that an Ace kills the HIGHEST RANKING officer in the beaten zone.
We take the Hollywood approach and kill lowest first.
But that's our choice. You can also randomize it. Or go as written. That's up to the GM. Remember that the intent of TSATF is fun first. No rules are engraved in stone or etched in brass.
This is just something to be aware of.
If you want the C-in-C to be a cowardly poltroon, by all means hide him behind the wagons.

I do like the idea of lowest ranking leader getting hit first.

I've also added a chart that allows the hit to take out the leader, his horse, and/or both.
