youtu.be/Ca-IFOupTgw link Well there is always an excuse to get them all out on the table at once, said the Actress to the Bishop. As part of my going therapy I thought it might be a good idea to review some of my figure collections starting with my 28mm British WW2 Desert boys. This was supposed to be a single box of Perrys Miniatures and a couple of Tanks, as they say mistakes were made ! At the end of the post is a picture of the to do pile so it's not over yet. Enjoy Regards Ken The Yarkshire Gamer |

"This was supposed to be a single box of Perrys Miniatures and a couple of Tanks." How well I know that story! Among other "mistakes" there is a full-bore Column Line and Square late Prussian Napoleonic army in the garage--three brigades and supports--which was supposed to be the 2nd West Prussian Reserve Infantry. It grew. Nice looking bunch, your lads. |

My opposition to Ken's Brits fills a 64 litre Really Useful Box. The Afrika Korps also grew from a single box of infantry to 3 Pz IVs, 9 Pz III, 4 Pz II assorted recce vehicles and several boxes of infantry. If only you could buy self control! |

As several have said, that's a superb bit of an army! I might also suggest that I kind of like the subject title. If anyone else cares to post a "Troops on Parade – …" topic, and similarly show one of the armies in their collection, I will be among those lining up to open the thread and have a look-see. I mean, what's more delightful than perusing another gamer's toy collection? Particularly when they are such lovely models. Am I right? -Mark (aka: Mk 1) |

@Yarkshire Gamer … Your collection is so beautiful, I am almost at a loss for words. This is EXACTLY the period I want to cover with my own Commonwealth force for the early desert years. And seeing an entire force done up in Caunter scheme … it is all so awe inspiring! I have saved off the photos to my own drive, and they will serve to guide me as I slowly assemble my own force. Amazing work! Thanks for sharing! |
