Anybody know how they size up in comparison to say, Essex? |

Yes, very well IMO. Now, granted I don't mind a little variation in heft and height. I'd say they are about the same size as Minifig and a little bulkier. |

Depends on the Essex. There is a noticeable difference between several of the Essex lines. I have old Asgard produced figures and the newer Viking Forge produced figures that differ noticeably different in size (VF are smaller). Definitely fit with Minifig. |
