Greetings all. I'm interested in possibly getting into Colonial gaming by investing in Black Powder and it's Zulu supplement. Before doing so I was wondering if I could get anyone's opinions on how the WarLord supplement works for this period. Also, if possible, what historical scenarios are covered in the book. Thank you. |

Depends what you are after. BP is a good set of rules but the Xulu book isn't really needed to play Zulu war battles. There's enough in the main book I would suggest. Save your money!!! |

Ha ha, thanks Ney Ney! Thanks Disaster for the scenario list. I went ahead and splurged and bought both books for abut $25 USD each. Not a bad price. I look forward to checking out the content. |

We play Black Powder for our Mahdi War battles. Apples and oranges I know, but both colonial time period. I think they give a great battle for these times. I have the Blood on the Sand supplement; not needed, but full of eye candy and inspiration. |

Thank Pz, very useful. Can I ask u a quick question about basing your British. Do you base them by Company, Battalion, Regiment, or some other unit type? |

I have no other information on the Zulu wars than general knowledge and the two Zulu movies. The Zulu supplement was a good help for me. The scenarios and painting info alone were worth it. For anyone that knows the pattern for painting Zulus and has some scenario ideas already then maybe not as useful. |
