I received my order of Flag Dude flags! (been waiting six months) Rick also phoned a couple days after he shipped the order, to confirm I got them. He has hired a part-time assistant to help production, cutting & grinding wire, cutting out flags, etc., so Rick can use more of his time researching, designing and printing. He said he is getting caught up with the backlog of email orders, and plans to bring a large inventory to Historicon. Just wanted to pass the news along. Larry |

Seeing is believing so, when I see enough people say they are getting their orders in a reasonable amount of time, I will believe it. He has already burned a lot of bridges. I do hope he can get his act together. |

A year and a half ago--maybe two years--that would have been good news. |

I know there are challenges with small companies/one-person operations, but there are, in most areas, far better options than always being uber-patient and chasing suppliers on boards like this. GMB has been mentioned above. I've had good experiences. Maverick Models, from which I have ordered flags twice in recent weeks, has been a revelation – fast, friendly, and accurate, and always ready to answer small questions about the product – which, by the way, is excellent. I'll be ordering plenty more. I don't know Flag Dude. But if the company's problems are so recurrent and the replies so frustrating, as they appear here and on discussion threads past, reasonable people take their good money elsewhere, without shame or acrimony, to better ones. |

Though I haven't asked for too many flags in the past. Rick's saving grace is that he has done custom flags for me, like Colonial Portuguese. You can't find the Brazilian colonial flag, or the Portuguese naval flag anywhere else, yet Rick made them for me. It might have taken 3 months, but nobody else would make them at all. |
