Hello All,

I am having lots of fun painting up bands of 15mm miniatures for Frotsgrave and several dungeon crawl adventures.

Generally, I have been happy with the breath and variety of 15mm fantasy available. Still there are a couple of gaps I wish to call out. Maybe some one here can point me in the right direction or a manufacturer can add some items onto the "next project" list. One can only ask and hope.

1. Western fantasy armored archers.

For a D&D campaign my search for a 15mm female, fighter, archer, in mail armor came out a bust.

I am humbly requesting figures suitable for high fantasy setting that look more like a character adventurer than a soldier of Henry V's English army.

2. High fantasy city guard/militia

This one is harder to describe. Here I am hoping for troops suitable to the classic D&D style high fantasy but not something plucked from the annals of history. This request extends to swordsmen, halberdiers, and archers.

That is all I have for now. Thanks for reading.

Totally agree on the need for city guard: I was just thinking about this yesterday! Splintered Light has one in their Warriors of Might pack (back row, second from right) but more would be good!

A close match to that Splintred light warrior is Essex

MID73 Light / Medium Billman and MID74 Heavy Billmen

I still would want a step toward more fantasy and I would love a figure of Lagertha shooting a bow

Thanks, those do match pretty well.

Ral Partha has some in their demonworld/blighthaven lines.

Lots of other great figures in there too.

Battle Valor have some great 15mm figs

I love these rangers! I do wish that they had mixed an occasional female figure in with the mix.

You know…

I never noticed, despite the sheer number of observations, that the Demonworld rangers had a scale armor.

Learn something everyday.

I did find one Archer/Ranger set in chainmail. The old Chariot miniatures line. I may have to explore the range further.

Still wish they had one Lady among them.

Thanks

Crom's Anvil has just released a set of town guards, bit more of a Conan vibe but great for fantasy in general imo.

Those are cool

Splintered light's henchmen might be what you are looking for.

I have multiple packs of SL Henchmen. They are awesome.

But no female archer in mail. I ordered some female Elven warrior as proxies.

Another great looking match for generic city guards are Khurasans new 14th century figures, especially the infantry packs at the very bottom of the list.
