I'm thinking of designing a couple of "what-if" scenarios bases on an imaginary conflict in the Gulf region. US and UK low-level organization is easy to come by, but is there any info on low-level organization for Iran and the GCC countries? By low-level, I mean battalion, company, platoon and section.

They are organized by Western traditions so you could run with that: 8-9 troops in a squad, 3 squads in a platoon, etc, etc. It might not be exactly correct but probably close enough for gaming purposes.

I think you'll find that the UAE and Saudi forces follow US and UK organizational structures very closely. Most of them are "advised and assisted" (not EXACTLY led, but…) by contractors who tend to be retired US and UK officers.
