Hi everyone;
Anyone have recommendations on rules for recreating the fights between destroyer and Torpedo Boat Flotillas, throwing in some Light Cruisers or even a larger ship.
Thinking about the sharp fights between the main battle fleets at Jutland.
Thanks
Joe

I think David Manley did rules for WWI light craft.

Really, most WWI naval rules will work. Someone will inevitably recommend Naval Thunder, and that would work too. I would use Fleet Action Imminent (the WWI version of General Quarters 3) because that's what I like.

Since it sounds like you're planning dozens of ships on the table at a time, I'd steer away from the more detailed rules, including David Manley's Action Stations (which is what I think Sundance is referring to). Rules with too many mechanical operations per ship will just drag in a large, chaotic action.

Action Stations would work for small craft and destroyers, but if you were looking for cruiser actions too then I reckon FAI would be a good bet

Hi All;
Thanks for the great info.
I don't think it would be a large number of ships on the table at once, but I would like rules that be played in an evening and quick for new players to pick up.
I will look into all the suggestions above
